I speak up for him where he does well--I just wish he would do well more often.

Perhaps you've forgotten that I pointed out he was unfairly criticized for Major Hassan, when it was actually during the Bush administration that complaints against Hassan were determined not to require action.

He could have visited the troops wherever they were scholar if it's that important to you.

Here we kind of like the fact that even our representatives spend time with their families on occasional public holidays.

But, hey, never resist the urge to have a public pop at Obama - continue to be predictable. waveysmiley

Obama enjoyed his Thanksgiving with his family.

Do you remember when President Bush popped over to spend Thanksgiving with the servicemen in Iraq?:D

The White House made a point of releasing a photo of Obama on the telephone today with someone in the service. They say he called ten people, all together.

How wonderful for Obama, that he enjoys the holiday without troubling himself very much about the military. The soldiers are waiting for the troops which were needed last August. Obama has said he will make an announcement about that on Tuesday. Of course, if he has made his decision, but is waiting for Tuesday so he can announce it in his West Point speech, that will be a great camera opportunity for him--it's just such a shame that more servicemen may die in the extra days it takes him to set the scene for his speech.

But, it's not as if he did not show how he feels about the military during the election campaign. At that time, he had an opportunity to visit servicemen at a military hospital, and it was scheduled. But his campaign team was told they would not be allowed to film it, to use in campaign ads. Since it would not do him the good he wished to get from using the servicemen as photo props, Obama decided to cancel the visit. He spent the time playing basketball, instead.:(:(:(
