Part of me hopes it'll all end, soon.

When you've watched the world decay, as I feel that I have, you feel the old mother Earth deserves a rest from humanity.

We'd better look busy, then.

Quote:

NIV Acts 2 [Peter is speaking on Pentecost]
16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

17
“‘In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
18
Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.
19
I will show wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
20
The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
21
And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.’
According to the New Testament, the "last days" had begun by Pentecost.

We are still in the last days, the final part of earth's history leading up to Jesus' parousia (His royal return).

Every generation believed that the "end is near". There was a time in the 80's when I firmly believed that we'd not see another year, and, yet, here we still are. My position these days is not to worry about it and don't run around looking at all the evil in the world (you'll only get depressed) and spend more time keeping your eyes on the good (In my case, Jesus). As long as you are in a right position with your maker, those around you, and yourself, what have you got to worry about. NO REGRETS, that about sums it up.

Believe it or not, things were worse in the past. Back then we were doing the beheading and everything. What makes it seem worse is the ease of spreading news and the internet generally and the ease of getting weapons.

End of enjoying life? No, not for years yet!

End of courtesy and Good Manners? Definitely.

End of honest politicians ? Happened long ago.

End of the world? Probably - if Putin, Obama, Blair and IS have their way!

Are we in them?
