A friend of ours is very impressed with the eagle. Ha has written a book called "On Eagles Wings", and has even produced a DVD to compliment the book, some of the footage, and photography is brilliant. He is well known n many Church Circles both here and in the States.

We were driving out in the country yesterday afternoon and got to see a courtship flight.

Too high up for even my 400mm but it was impressive just to watch.

A computer I am currently repairing has a Nat Geo photo of an Eagle as it is swooping down to catch a fish. They are beautiful budgies!

We ended up running the first photo in black and white on an inside page.

My coverage of the robbery/murder up the road in Tomahawk dominated the front page.

But it looks nice in black and white, since it is so "stark" anyway.

Entirely so, yes. :) I am, however, still a US citizen. ;)

You own a piece of paper shocked_yellow

I have a ream :D

I buy mine in 1/2 TON rolls! I get my ink in 55-gallon barrels, too.

I'm the editor of a weekly newspaper.

(I'm beginning to think the boy is DENSE!)

I like the second one best. There's something ungainly about the legs in flight.

I'm thinking of using a variation on the second shot for the front page this week of the paper.

I'm leery of using a really GREAT shot because then we end up with a split copyright and splitting reprint profits.

I want to make ALL the CASH from selling the good ones.

Not exactly eagles, we don't get too many of them around here but feathered none the less (sorry about the quality)

Same eagle right before he took off:

[bad img]http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a224/redwolf5150/32408-1-105.jpg[/bad img]

We spent 10 minute creeping up on him on the side of the road in our van as he munched on that deer carcass. We'd stop every couple feet and I'd pop off a few shots.

Jackie was just TRIPPING because we ended up like 15 feet from him. She's never been that close to an eagle outside of a zoo or rehab center.

One of these days I got to get her to the Eagle Rehab Center in the town she works at so she can get close enough to all but touch one.
