No mysterious about it.

Dararararararararararararararararara has mysteriously been divided into two words, Dararararararara and rararararararararara. Now, the page is no longer wider than usual, it fits on one screen width in my browser.

Thank you.doffs_cap

Well, I posted a pic of the page showing it is still there.

Do you think I am trying to fool you with a fake picture?confused2

This is not a joke or prank. For whatever reason, the page is showing wider than a full screen, even though it does not do so on a typical KF page, and did not do so on Today's page until recently.

There are other titles which to my eyes look as if they have more characters/spaces but in any case I still think that the problem is in the way you have set up your browser/font size/resolution/number of threads per page as noone else seems to be having problems with it.

The truck driver thread shows up as one line on my browser btw.

I'm trying to attach a document with a screen pic showing that it is still wide, and the topic I thought was causing the problem is still on the today's page.

The Dararararararararararararararararara word is still the longest word among the titles. I think my browser is widening that column just enough to accomodate the word.

[edit adds--but, I do agree it is odd. waveysmiley]

Scholar, it has already dropped off the page as it is not one of the "Today's posts" anyway and furthermore a couple of hours ago I amended the title so in fact if you are still experiencing problems that would be distinctly odd. waveysmiley

I'm certain the problem is objective--displayable on the computer screen, where others can see it--and not in myself. greengrin.

[Is the whole universe a product of my imagination? I don't think so. Nor do I. :jester)]

When we have had enough new topics, the post-thread I think is causing the problem in my browser and display will drop off the page. If the wide page persists, it will disprove my suspicion.:)

And, it is only slightly wide. It isn't like the giant-wide page that someone made with a [code[ quote in the HJT log in the anti-virus section!shocked_yellowshocked_yellowshocked_yellow

Which size of font?

I use IE and view on normal size and everything looks as it always does.
On my 2003-Ami BIOS computer, I run Opera 8 in 800 x 600 resolution at 100%, and the theme is KF default. My Appearance tab in Control Panel says my scheme is Windows (large).

These are all as they have been when the page had not gone wide. And most of the topics do not go wide.

Janet, I think that's it! Usually, with long titles, the titles just go into additional lines. However, there is a Rararara. . . title that goes very long without a place to break between words. I think that messed mine up.:)

There are some titles that are very long - depending on the font size you've got set for your browser, that is probably the issue. If a title is too long, the browser window widens to accommodate it.

The page now looks wider than my browser, so that I have to scroll a little from side to side, and can't look at everything at once.

Is this so for others?

It is not too wide in most individual threads.
