I just successfully visited the website, which is now working fine for me.

So, they fixed the problem, which Sceptre says was a php upgrade problem.

Perhaps they have updated their code, possibly with a move to another server. Do you think?

7.1.10 as far as I know is the latest stable version
I knew it was a php upgrade problem but that wouldn't have helped scholar.
Glad to say my main ws works just fine on the latest ;)

I hope they have a backup of their database...

IIRC, mysql_* functions are dangerous and were deprecated as of PHP 4.1. So, if their host has finally upgraded to the latest version of php (5.6.31, I believe), they're gonna need to rewrite some of their code...

Don't expect that to happen too soon, because the version they're using is way out of date (pre-2009, if memory serves)..

Last night, a few web sites would not load for display into my Firefox browser.

I tried again today. One of the sites now loads, the other does not.

I got messages about sql and the number of a line that failed in some way. One that still fails says this:
Quote:
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in /homepages/46/d466866227/htdocs/lcmssermons/sqlconnect.php:68 Stack trace: #0 /homepages/46/d466866227/htdocs/lcmssermons/index.php(4): require() #1 {main} thrown in /homepages/46/d466866227/htdocs/lcmssermons/sqlconnect.php on line 68

If the problems are on the web site's end, I can just wait for them to fix it.

I am wondering if there is a problem on my end, because (1) it started happening after I turned the computer off, and Windows loaded in updates that inserted before these things started happening (2) it happened to two different web sites last night, which had not given me trouble before. It seems improbable that two would develop similar troubles at the same time.

Would someone care to teach me about this?
