Why would that be Faolan? It may explain the problems that I have with a USB drive, but I don't see how the filing system should be an issue unless you need access from non NTFS operating systems.

I have some good luck with Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery Software. Helped me in recovering lost data from formatted hard drive.
