Hi Nick from Tennessee:)

Welcome to the Karl's - I am sure you will get great help.

I am DeWitch from NH but I have been to Tennessee - only a quick trip once to pick up my Chow Chow Bear Doggy from St. Francis Animal Rescue in Erin.

Are you anywhere near there? It is a wonderful shelter run by a very caring lady.
That trip was the beginning of 2000, in 2004 she paid to have my little Chow mix sent to us by plane:)

Thanks for saying hi everyone. Thanks to LSemmens for moving my other post to the appropriate place. I was in such a panic and completely overlooked the header. (Which clearly tells you where to post virus related topics) Duh! Oh and hey scholar, i guess I'm a yank. Because to me there is only one football. That other sport is called soccer. Haha, hope i didn't step on any toes so soon. Go VOLS!!

Hi nick, I moved your other post to the virus help forum in the hope that our resident HJT expert will see it and give it the once over. I hope you can find it there.

I arrived here via a link from a local PC magazine website some years back and have not been able to find my way out! This hall of mirrors is deceptive! you come here for one thing, and, well, they entrap you. Enjoy your stay, from the "deeeeeep south"

Just a comment--You'll notice Snowy is already a "Senior Member" as I write this, because she has 293 posts. The tally will continue to go up as she keeps posting. If you become involved, sharing items that interest you and reacting to what others post, you'll soon be a "Senior Member" too. :)

Welcome Nick/Panamared.

I initially came for computer help, but got to know some of the regular posters here and stayed for the friendships. The founder of the sight was English, and we continue to have quite a few Brits and Scotts. I like when we get more Yankees, as that means their hours are more likely to match mine. (I'm on Chicago time--London is six hours ahead of me, so by the time I've watched the news, the United Kingdom is mostly asleep, with the exception of a few nightowl types.)

We represent a variety of education, employment, and viewpoints. We can be funny or serious, light or presenting strongly held convictions. Some of the guys here are very serious about footie (football, which Yanks call soccer).

I hope you will stay with us and post often. Only you bring your special knowledge and experiences, with your viewpoint and sense of humor.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. We'll be happy to show you around.:)waveysmiley

My name is Nick and I live in Tennessee. I found this site while trying to find help removing what I believe to be some type of malware. Anyway, I posted my problem in the help section. While I have been patiently awaiting help from someone who knows more about this than me ( which is almost nothing) I've been looking around the forums. Looking forward to talking to some or all of you. Maybe I will learn a few things and one day be able to help somebody else in need.
