Firstly, it was a joke but if you're determined to go with the facts consider this:

Only 2 people signed on July 4th, the rest signed in August.

More alcohol was consumed prior to the draft being drawn up than was decent.

The FF expected the party to be on 2nd of July each year.

Benjamin Franklin was a noted joker with an obsession with farts so he was not allowed to draft the constitution in case he tried to slip in a joke somewhere.

Thomas Jefferson wanted the constitution rewritten every 19 years.

Most of the signatories kept slaves.

The Boston Tea Party was actually a protest led by smugglers of Dutch Tea, led by John Hancock, who couldn’t compete with legal tea prices.

No to be more accurate call it we beat England( who were using Hessian troops) with the help of France day, also de facto they were English colonists and not Americans at that that time, Americans were the Indian nations. the fog of history tend to obscure the facts

Hmmmm. I never thought of July 4 as being centered on beating the English--which happened later. It is about the Declaration of Independence, which embodies some great principles
