I won't tell, if you don't.

You do realise, of course, that w*rk is a four letter word and should be included in the swear filter. Please place you penny in the swear jar!nananana

To be fair, I did volunteer but only because I would get the day in lieu and therefore bump up my holiday allowance for the year - I only have 2 days left now until January!

However, it still sucks!

If I had been offered work this holiday weekend, I would have taken it, but I was not scheduled to work, neither Sunday nor Monday. I did go to the charity food source alone on Saturday because Ruby was working Saturday, and I went to give plasma today (Monday) while Ruby was at work. I also took home the nieces who had spent Saturday night and Sunday with us. And I mowed the rest of my estate.:D:P;)

I gave up my job because they wanted to force everyone to work on Saturdays. It was the best decision I ever made. But then I was lucky enough to be able to survive until the pension comes in.

I saw it as a form of slavery. I know I was being paid, but they were taking away my right to choose when to work. I accepted Monday to Friday but weekends were sacred to me. They are a time for family and friends and are precious.

That is where I am right now. It sucks. Anyone else having to work on this UK Bank Holiday?
